Many Doors, No Master Key: FASD Service Needs

You can use the two slides here in presentations on fetal alcohol spectrum disorders. They illustrate the numerous services needed by a child with fetal alcohol syndrome and his family. The first slide shows the services the child and his family used when he was a toddler. The second slide shows the services the child and his family are using during his elementary school years. When he was a toddler, the child and family needed more than 40 service providers in a number of service systems (health, education, social and community, legal and financial). The number of services increased from his toddler years to his elementary school years. To illustrate this point, it is best to use both slides. Slides are available in PowerPoint and PDF.
